Who we are
The eBridge Center for Business & Commercialization is a shared workspace and business incubator at 1304 E Adams St, Brownsville, TX 78520. The building and its programs are run jointly by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center (UTRGV ECC) and the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC). This policy covers the website ebridgecenter.com.
Because the two organizations operate eBridge together, the information you share through this site is shared between UTRGV ECC and BCIC. Both use it to respond to you and to run eBridge’s programs and memberships.

Information you give us
When you fill out the contact form, request a tour, ask about or apply for a membership, or subscribe to the newsletter, we collect what you enter. That is usually your name, email address, phone number, the topic you’re interested in, and any message you send.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we collect some technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and similar usage data. We collect this through cookies and analytics tools.
Anti-spam
Our website forms include spam protection that tells real visitors from automated bots. To do this it may process limited technical data, such as your IP address and browser signals, only to detect bots and not for advertising. This protection is provided by our forms provider and handled under that provider’s privacy terms.
How we use your information
- Respond to your questions and your tour or membership requests.
- Process and follow up on membership applications.
- Send the newsletter and updates you asked for.
- Run, maintain, and improve eBridge’s programs, events, and website.
We do not sell your personal information.
How we share your information
- Between our organizations: UTRGV ECC and BCIC both have access to the information collected here, because they operate eBridge together.
- Service providers: companies that help us run the site and our programs, such as website hosting, email and customer-relationship tools, scheduling and booking tools, and analytics. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
- When required: if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of eBridge, our members, or others.
Public records
Because UTRGV is a public university, some information collected through this site, including web form submissions, emails, and server logs, may be subject to disclosure under the Texas Public Information Act or other applicable laws. We do not otherwise sell or actively share your personal information.

Our site links to other services, such as the UTRGV application portal and Microsoft Bookings for scheduling tours. Those services have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as long as the law requires, and then we delete or de-identify it.

- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send.

Children’s privacy
This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) hosting. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
