The 36,000 sq. ft. building that now houses the eBridge Center has a rich history that mirrors the hardworking spirit of Brownsville and the Rio Grande Valley.

Originally known as La Casa del Nylon, this structure was a flouring hub for commerce and industry, serving the community for decades. Built in 1967, it was a cornerstone for business activities, reflecting the industrious nature of the people who walked its halls.

Fast forward to today, and the building has been transformed into the eBridge Center for Business & Commercialization, the largest startup incubator and entrepreneurial resource center of its kind in the Rio Grande Valley.

Be part of the Future of Brownsville

While the nature of work has evolved, the essence of hard work, innovation, and community remains. Just as La Casa del Nylon was a center for business in its time, the eBridge Center aims to be the hub for today’s innovators, entrepreneurs, and change-makers.

We’ve modernized the space to accommodate the needs of today’s businesses. Still, we’ve also preserved the spirit of entrepreneurship that has always been a part of this building’s DNA.
Whether you’re a startup looking to disrupt the market or a legacy business aiming to scale, the eBridge Center offers a range of facilities and resources to help you succeed.

From a U.S. Patent Trade Resource Center to a cutting-edge Prototyping Space, we’ve equipped the center with the tools you need to turn your vision into reality. And just like the hardworking individuals who once filled La Casa del Nylon, we’re committed to mobilizing the next generation of entrepreneurs and equipping them with the skills and resources they need to create jobs, access capital, and scale commercially.

So, as we open a new chapter in this building’s storied history, we invite you to be a part of the next wave of innovation right here at the eBridge Center.
