We're creating a clear path for entrepreneurs.
The eBridge Center for Business and Commercialization is where Brownsville's business past and future meet its next chapter.
Our home at 1304 E. Adams St., the former La Casa del Nylon, was built in 1967 and long served as a downtown center of commerce. Today, through a strategic partnership between the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation and UTRGV's Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center, it has been transformed into the largest startup incubator and entrepreneurial resource center in the Rio Grande Valley, bringing founders, small businesses, advisors, capital resources, and innovation tools together in one place.
The center sits in one of Brownsville's most historic districts, behind the Stillman House Museum, a 1850s home associated with Charles Stillman, American merchant and entrepreneur who founded Brownsville, Texas.
Brownsville's downtown has long been a place where commerce, culture, and cross-border relationships shaped the city's future. The eBridge Center continues that tradition as a working platform for people building new companies, refining products, securing contracts, accessing mentorship, and creating jobs in the Rio Grande Valley.
Created through a 2019 EDA investment and opened in 2023 after a major renovation, eBridge now houses partner resources and a state-of-the-art prototyping space.
In a downtown once defined by merchants and traders, eBridge gives today's entrepreneurs a place to start, grow, and stay.
